Med Tech USA, LLC started over a decade ago as an information technology (IT) support company.

Started by John Brewer, a military veteran, Med Tech has employed many military veterans over the years.

Early on, a majority of the companies Med Tech supported were law offices and medical offices.

As HIPAA compliance began to rise over the horizon, the team at Med Tech started to scour the HIPAA regulations and sought out solutions to the many demands.

It quickly became apparent there was little information about HIPAA compliance beyond what the federal regulations said.

Before long, Med Tech had created their Rapid Risk Assessment to fullfil both Meaningful Use requirements and HIPAA requirments of accomplishing a security risk assessment.

Because Med Tech already worked closely with medical practices, they had a unique point of view…that is, they knew how to create solutions that didn’t overwhelm the practice manager.

From the Rapid Risk Assessment came a deeper series of solutions that Med Tech created to make HIPAA compliance as simple as possible.

John Brewer is a retired Air Force Pilot who still actively flies, and contributes his time and airplane to causes like VeteransAirlift.com, an organization “…provides free air transportation to post 9/11 combat wounded and their families for medical and other compassionate purposes through a national network of volunteer aircraft owners and pilots.”

My son and I flew this veteran’s spouse home after she visited her husband at a VA hospital.
